You can sing it!
Hello, foreigner! How long have you been in Poland? For a year? Five years? Maybe longer? Anyway, I’m sure that after just a few days in Poland, you realized how challenging our language is. We truly understand how much effort it takes to pronounce words like „deszcz” (rain) or „dżdżownica” (earthworm). We’re very pleased that you’re trying, because behind these difficult words lies the rich world of Polish culture.
If you’re already managing—at least a bit—with the Polish language, we invite you to enter the rich world of Polish songs. Choose one of them, learn how to sing it, and show us the results. Participate in the competition to prove that YOU CAN SING IT!
To participate in the competition, you need to register through the form on our website (HERE), send an email (kontakt@domwschodni.pl), contact us via Messenger (Facebook), or SMS: +48 519 779 547 and come for the audition on November 19, 2023 (Fratelli tutti Club-Café, 11/13 Piramowicza Street, Łódź). During the audition, the jury will only assess your vocal abilities; the Polish language training will come later. The audition will select 10 finalists who will start preparing for the final concert, which will take place in Łódź on December 16, 2023.
The 10 finalists will have a month to choose and prepare a song for the final concert under the guidance of coaches. We offer you all the help you need during this time: Polish language teachers, singing teachers, and musicians who will accompany you.
The final concert will take place on December 16 in Łódź at 6:00 PM. Performances will be judged by a jury awarding first, second, and third prizes. The winner of the competition will receive PLN 5000, the second place will be awarded PLN 3000, and the third place will receive PLN 1000. All other participants in the final concert will receive a prize of PLN 500.
With all participants in the „YOU CAN SING IT!” competition who have the opportunity and willingness, we plan to organize several charity concerts afterward to raise money for people in need, especially in the Middle East.
Join the project! Show us that YOU CAN SING IT!
